Join us live for an artist talk with Stephen Bontly, presented by The Sixth Sense Festival in collaboration with The NODE Institute. In this session, Stephen Bontly introduces The Banyan Tree, an evolving light and sound installation commissioned by the festival and currently on display. Inspired by the ancient Banyan tree as a symbol of interconnected intelligence, the work unfolds as an immersive environment where light, sound, and architecture respond to collective presence. Using TouchDesigner, grandMA, and Unreal Engine, the installation weaves together mirrors, fog, lasers, LED lighting, and video into a responsive system that transforms the space in real time through audience movement. In this talk, Stephen shares his creative process and technical approach, revealing how interactive light sculptures and spatial design can make invisible connections tangible and experiential. Based in Berlin, Stephen Bontly is a freelance Production Designer and New Media Artist with a background in Architecture from the University of New Mexico. His practice spans parametric development, light design, 3D content creation, and digital fabrication, with a strong focus on immersive environments for art, architecture, and performance. Through global collaboration and a deep interest in perception and perspective, his work challenges conventional boundaries, using design as a catalyst for reflection, emotional response, and change. 🔴 Live artist talk and installation deep dive 💡 Light sculpture, interactive environments, and spatial design 🌳 Collective presence, perception, and connection Follow and explore: instagram.com/stev_fun
