This week of Half Marathon Training was all about adjusting; Adjusting to Low Heart Rate Training and adjusting to life events. Life does not stop for training. At the end of Week 2 training, we had to say goodbye to our senior dog who we have loved for almost 15 years. As heartbroken as we were, I was reminded of the benefits of running when dealing with big emotions. This week was also a huge learning week. Learning lots about the benefits of Low Heart Rate Training and how to calculate heart rates for the 5 heart rate zones. My new training schedule focuses on Zone 2 Training.
