My Way....is Paul Anka's lyrical adaptation of the French song, Comme d'habitude, released by the great Frank Sinatra in 1969. The original song was written by Jacques Revaux, Gilles Thibaut, and Claude François in 1967. The song was a big hit for many artists, including Elvis Presley and Sid Vicious. But in truth, this song belongs to Francis Albert Sinatra, who delivered it with such emotion and poignancy, with such a depth of understanding of these lyrics. I kind of stumbled toward the end, and I believe I made the song a little bit too long. And as always, I would've liked to have belted the b'jesus outta it, but...neighbors blah blah blah! But regardless, this was the best take that I could get out of myself last night, so I posted! Maybe one day I'll post a do-over...but for now, I hope you'll enjoy my rough-around-the-edges attempt at this classic power ballad! I'm dedicating this one to Pal Joey & Gal Audrey! Two more swingin' cats you won't find! I hope you'll enjoy, Joe & Aud! Please feel free to like/subscribe.
