On this episode of EQD At Home, Hot Water Music bassist Jason Black graciously invites us into his Florida home to share his current pedal chain that includes our Plumes overdrive and the Organizer, our polyphonic organ emulator. The veteran punk rock bassist shows us how he uses the Plumes near the front of his signal chain to play thicker but still tight and articulate low bass notes. Black also uses The Organizer to add depth and some synth-like textures or as an odd octave to liven up his bass arrangements, alone or along with the overdriven signal. The Plumes is our versatile signal shredding take on a classic overdrive circuit (you know the one!) and can be found on scores of pedalboards both professional and personal around the world. The Organizer can be used on a multitude of instruments including horns, drums, and the human voice, and tracks both single notes and chords across the fretboard. “I feel like I’ll be dead before I get to the full potential this thing has,” Black says of his Organizer.
