MSRTC'S Pimpri Chinchwad bus station, formally know as Vallabhnagar as well, was pressed into service on 22Aug1998. There was a two fold agenda when this bus station was started 1) convenience of the commuters in PCMC and nearby areas and 2 ) Parking space crunch at Shivajinagar. It has got self contained depot of itself apart from the regular platforms in the same premises. Depot has got the fleet of Parivartan, Hirkani and Shivshahi buses. There are total 16 platforms, out of which only first 10 are used for actual vehicular movement rest are used as parking slots in night. Apart from interstate destination like Vijapur, Hyderabad, MSRTC operates buses to all over Maharashtra, barring Mumbai, yes for Mumbai/Thane regions through buses take quick halts at this station. TSRTC and NWKSRTC also operate their premium, sleeper and economy services to destinations in Telangana and Karnataka respectively.
