Rohr Lake and Mount Rohr | Backpacking | Pemberton, British Columbia

Rohr Lake is a stunning turquoise alpine lake which is a perfect spot for swimming, fishing and to set-up tent if you want to spend a few days exploring the area. Mount Rohr is a prominent peak located just above Duffy Lake and offers incredible 360° views of glacial lakes, alpine terrains, wildflowers in summer, and surrounding peaks such as the Joffre Group, Cayoosh Mountain, Mt. Caspar and Mt. Marriott to name a few. Both are located just off the Duffy Lake Road in the alpine area between Pemberton and Lillooet. Hike starts from the Marriott Basin Trail which shares the route to the Wendy Thompson Memorial Hut. It starts off on some muddy area and later climbs up to a steep boulder field. The trail to Mount Rohr is somewhat a "pick your own" route but several cairns could help you point to the right direction. It involves a bit of scrambling up a steep boulder field on the last stretch. Several parking options are shown in my video. These are on a forest service road which is a short drive from Highway 99, north of Pemberton. The first option is accessible by a 2wd while the succeeding ones might require a 4wd.
