PART II We continue the drive across County Galway, in the Connemara National Park, across a very scenic and well known route by locals. The Connemara National Park is located in the West of Ireland in County Galway, and it covers some 2,000 hectares of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands. Some of the Park’s mountains, namely Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, are part of the famous Twelve Bens or Beanna Beola range. Connemara National Park was established and opened to the public in 1980. The Virtual Drive continues from the Lough Inagh towards the town of Clifden along the N59 road. From the Lake Inagh we come back along the R344 across a very beautiful landscape surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation, lakes and steep mountains. We continue the drive along the N59 road reaching the Kylemore Abbey. Here a quick walking tour will let us admire the peaceful and dramatic landscape. We continue along the N59 road, cruising in the fantastic Co. Galway across a luxuriant vegetation and small villages until we eventually reach the small town of Clifden.
