How to Find your Photos in Lightroom Using Filters -- In this video tutorial learn how to search your catalog by keywords, EXIF data and other metadata. Lightroom calls the search function "Filtering" and you'll find this tool in the Library Module grid view. You can search for, or filter, photos by keyword, flag status, star rating, date, lens, camera, location, creator and even by shutter speed or aperture. You can also filter by using smart collections, which are like saved searches. Using the search feature is much quick than trying to remember which folder or collection a particular image is in. But to make a search you have to have good metadata, keywords and rankings applied so you can filter your images based on whatever criteria you have set.
