#completedcolouringpages Hello, in June (mascot) Bee Cosy makes a surprise appearance ;) I bought the following books: 50 ocean miniatures Circle of life Fragile world Mythomorphia Lost Ocean calendar 2017 Disney classics New supplies purchased this month: Astra pastelowes pencils Prismacolor premier open stock mostly purples Completed pages shown: World of flowers by Johnna Basford Name page I used polychromos pencils. It probably needs a background but I wasn’t confident to try it yet. Secret Garden by Johanna Basford pages: Circular flowers I used polychromos, a few prisma colors and Castle Arts pencils, white gel pen. Inspired by Chris Cheng’s speed colour. The polys are much lighter in intensity than the prismas and they already had many many layers for the background. It needs more. Some of the leaves didn’t blend well with using different pencil types while others were fine. The aquas compliment the flowers on the opposite page so I like how this double turned out. This appears to be a popular page to learn from. Sunflower All polychromos pencils. I enjoyed this quick one. Bee cosy bee bear helped me 😉 I may go back and draw in some bees later. World of Wonders by Johanna Basford This book belongs to I used my favourite go to blue and purple polychromos pencils with a touch of glitter pen. Bike I used my new Holbein pastel tones 12 set for the flowers and frame, with polychromos for the shading and basket. Plane I needed to get my new polychromos pencils into groups and it seemed fitting to try and gradient the plumes with a rainbow effect. I do find the greys still troublesome to lay down as they are so light. It was fun to do. WIPs: Beatrix Potter – the map page Lovely image using polychromos pencils and Astra pastelowes I thought to mix it up I’d take the summer trees on the turn into autumn hues. Sacks filled with nuts - Squirrels I used polychromos pencils. Need to figure out how to do the water. This really needs to be in watercolour. But how when you've already started and the paper is fragile? It was a very stressful month for me and I really do need this hobby, like art therapy. It really does help, plus it's good to learn new things. As ever I am grateful to those YT channels who have kept me company and sharing their experiences, craft, skills, hints and tips over the months etc. And the time to make them. Thank you.
