Slow Flow Yoga for Beginners - Slow Flow Standing Yoga - Yoga for Seniors - Senior Yoga. This gentle standing yoga practice is especially designed for seniors and beginners. This gentle standing yoga practice focuses on stretching, strength, and balance. Many modifications are shown throughout the yoga practice that make this class very accessible for people that are senior citizens or complete beginners. This yoga class is great for beginners and new yogis, as the practice moves slowly through gentle stretching. The practice starts with a seated warm-up that brings awareness to the breath. Then the class progresses into some deeper standing stretching. The yoga practice ends in standing breath work that brings awareness to the breath to increase relaxation in the body. One yoga block is the suggested prop for this yoga practice. You can still do the full yoga class even if you don’t have any yoga props. As with any exercise program, please be sure to consult your physician prior to starting. You are voluntarily engaging in this exercise program at your own risk.
