Happy Holidays Transit Community ! This is the review of a depot, that was commonly known as lame and the only one in Manhattan to not be named after a historical figure like, Michael J. Quill and Mother Clara Hale. It is Manhattanville Depot, formerly known as 132nd street depot and the headquarters of Fifth Avenue Coach Company headquarters. Since it was a Fifth Avenue facility until the 1960s, it runs multiple inherited service of the nostalgic buses. And since the city took over, it gets more convenient with the Fishbowl models such as the TDH models, 111s, and F2s. And it was the only depot in the 20th century to have the double deckers which were, the Leyland AN68A2Ls, which couldn't be relied on for revenue service because of their height. Until the 1980s, they get more advanced buses with mostly RTS'. However, the Grumman 870s aren't very reliable due to their structural flaws. So since they get sent out by 1984, they were dominant with more RTS like every other depot until the early 1990s, the Fishbowl era was done. And when the Fishbowls were retiring, Manhattanville became the new depot since its reconstruction. And until the early 1990s, they started to become an eco-friendly depot with the hybrid Orion buses from Orion Bus Industries. At one point, they had the RTS hybrid but due to its structural flaws and Novabus' defuncting, it can no longer exist. So, they get more Orion hybrids from a new company called, Daimler Chrysler, by 2005. And later in the 2000s, they received the first generations when Mother Clara Hale Depot was closing for relocation and reconstruction to Upper Manhattan from the Bronx. At final, they received the Next Generation hybrid buses from the same bus plant. that was their final exclusive for a decade. Until the early 2020s, they receive the LFS Hybrids which now helped modernize the depot's fleet. This is also their very first LFS in their fleet since day 1. And, its their first Cuomo livery buses they get, featuring Wifi and USB ports. In 2022, they received the New Flyer XDE40s, which are their very first Xcelsior in their history. Nevertheless, the Orion VII NG HEVs, is their only oldest and their pre-cuomo livery scheme buses as of today. They are in the business of retiring and transferring, which is why many fanners are busy going to catch them. My favorite fleet is the New Flyer XDE40s and the same as when they are in Micheal J.Quill before July 2022. As of today, Manhattanville is now a modular green depot of the decade as we all expected. As of 03/31/2023 , Manhattanville Depot got some XD40s from Quill. And the M66 and M72 are pending for dispatch from MV Depot too. 0:00 - Intro 1:55 - Manhattanville Depot Overview 3:32 - Fleet & Routes Of Manhattanville Depot 04:22 - Manhattanville Depot History 14:00 - Depot Analyzation & Storytime 17:30 - Outro Musical Credits to the photos and videos from the respective owners, 1. / @user-hl9dt7fq3q 2. / @user-fh2qo4sq3m 3. / Канал 4. / @trainluvr 5. / Канал 6.
