Today’s taking out the trash is all about things in history that make me cry. There are a lot of things in history that are a little hard to stomach for a small child; but we still teach history to small children because frankly if you avoid teaching history, then we repeat the past. We know this, and it’s hard. It’s hard to know how much to teach and remove the innocence of a person in order for them to understand how to avoid pitfalls So whether you want to write about how the Shenandoah massacre was just senseless and made you cry, and was shocking because you didn’t know about it before, or learning that the communist manifesto was written to destroy Germany (and it just made you sick when so many countries adopted so much of those ideologies doubting them as amazing). Writing those down helps you have more mental space and also gives you perspective and in someway just helps you detox. I can’t say happy writing, but I can’t say therapeutic and cathartic writing to you.
