4/26/22 A day in Plockton. This footage was shot as part of my tour of Wicker Man film locations. 2022 is the 50th anniversary of the filming. Plockton Inn morning view, birds my review of the Plockton Inn birds 3:41 outside the Plockton Inn, back in my room again, the view and bird songs 4:25 looking at the harbour from Ian and Linda’s house w/ Fergal, pans. (Fergal is making a film of this tour.) 5:11 waiting to go out on Calum’s boat. (Calum Mackenzie) 6:05 on Calum’s boat, talk to Calum, Ian is filming too! I wasn’t that concerned about getting good footage of my talking with Calum. I was more interested in having a recording of him talking so that I could study what he said, to learn from him. So, forgive my bad camera work. I couldn’t always understand what he said. (He corrected my pronunciation of Sannachan many times. I had a hard time remembering to say it correctly after all these years pronouncing it incorrectly.) Sannachan was Murdo’s house, added on to harbour master’s 10 years ago, go to capt scott mooring 34:20 I walk with Ian back to his house. We then visited John Mcdonald who showed us the spinning wheel his mother used in the movie. That footage is exclusive to Fergal’s movie about this tour. In the evening, we assembled in Ian and Linda’s house to watch the movie with some others. Had a wonderful time. I’ll post my poor video of that separately. Fergal’s video will be better.
