Hear us tell our story on ABC! After years of suffering from tennis elbow, cofounder Tim Porth partnered with long time business associate Nate Stier, MPT, LAT to develop an at-home device to treat tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). Porth suffered from tennis elbow for years from lifting weights. He sought treatment from a business associate who owns four physical therapy clinics in the twin cities metro area. The procedure called instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) worked for Porth but the time commitment of going to the clinic three times a week for up to ten weeks did not. A few weeks later he was back at the clinic and Stier told him if he can't commit to the schedule he's not going to get better and suggested he should develop a product that replicates the IASTM treatment so he can do it at home. Porth who previously designed and developed fitness equipment thought about his comment and went to work. After three years and over 50 prototypes Stier and Porth, along with cofounders Dennis Lee and Rusty Wallman MPT, ATC - they launched the Fiix Elbow device by Stā Active. The Fiix Elbow device replicates IASTM but is a portable, at-home device so you can get treatment for tennis elbow whenever, where ever you want. All you need is 10 minutes, 3x a week for 8 weeks for elbow pain relief. Learn more at staactive.com
