Do You Speak Tango? | Pushpak Bhandari & Galina Obushinskaya | TEDxPurdueU

La Milonguera is a student organization at Purdue University devoted to the promotion and enjoyment of everything related to Argentinean Tango. Everyone is welcome! As part of the group interest in tango, classes and workshops in tango, Milonga, and Argentine Vals are offered. Galina and Pushpak met in the town of West Lafayette, Indiana, in an Argentine tango "milonga" (social dance). Argentine tango is what they both look out for in their travels around the world, in a quest to explore warm and delicate tango embraces. True to the immigrant nature of the dance, they showcase a glimpse of the tango's art and culture through their unique traveler lens. Pushpak comes from Pune, India. He has received his PhD in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Purdue University. He's been learning and performing various dances since he was a kid. Galina is from Ulyanavsk, Russia. She is an MBA in International Business and is passionate for dancing. She was exposed to Argentina tango during her dance performance in Chicago.
