Product Review: Bontrager Aeolus RSL 62 wheels – pt2 workshop session / Tubeless tyre installation

Picking up on our review of the recently released new iteration of Bontrager’s Aeolus wheels, the RSL 62, we visit the workshop and get a demonstration of the tubeless system used by this brand. Peter Kearsey from Clarence Street Cyclery in Sydney is our mechanic for the day. He works on Bontrager / Trek products all day but, on the day of filming, it was the first time he’d seen the new RSL 62 wheelset that was released in May 2021. This isn’t the first time that a tubeless tyre fitting has been documented on RIDE Media’s YouTube channel; you can also see it being done with Zipp 303s and ENVE G23 wheels, but the method used by Peter is different (ie. sealant in through the valve opening, thanks very much).
