Welcome to this 1hr 45min increasingly difficult Vinyasa Yoga Class. This yoga practice is designed to be like prayer to the Divine Feminine. After warming up by intuitively moving and connecting deeply to moon, we begin our Chandra Namaskar - inspired flow. We move through the Vinyasa sequence like we're moving up and down a ladder. After the first three rounds of traditional Moon Salutation, from our second Ardha Chandrasana, we start adding on a breath and an asana— making our climb up the ladder a little longer, and then reverse it to come back down. We start by adding in more beginner-friendly asanas like Skandasana and Goddess Pose. Then we take it up a notch with intermediate asanas like Vashisthasana II for hip opening and Wheel Pose for heart opening. For the last 4 rounds we turn up the intensity of both our hip opening and heart opening, adding in advanced asanas like stand up and drop back to Wheel, King Dancer, Bird of Paradise, and Standing Sundial Pose. We finish up with some shoulder stands to re-set the neck, and some deep twisting to re-set the spine, and detoxify the physical and energetic body, before finally surrendering to rest and receive in Shavasana.
