Ingredients (4 Servings): Flank Steak: 425 g (15 oz) Pineapple: 1 Brown Sugar: 80 g (1/3 cup) Soy Sauce: 15 ml Ketchup: 240 ml (1 cup) Mustard: 120 ml (1/2 cup) Hoisin Sauce: 30 ml Yellow Onion: 1 Red Onion: 1 small Potato: 1 Ginger: 28 g (1 oz) Garlic: 4 cloves Tomato: 2 Cilantro: 1 bunch Steak Spice: 15 g (1 tbsp) Ginger Powder: 15 g (1 tbsp) Chili Powder: 15 g (1 tbsp) Chili Flakes: 15 g (1 tbsp) Onion Powder: 15 g (1 tbsp) Taco Spice: 30 g (2 tbsp) Cumin Powder: 5 g (1 tsp) Smoked Paprika: 15 g (1 tbsp) Garlic Powder: 15 g (1 tbsp) Black Pepper: 15 g (1 tbsp) Salt: 30 g (2 tbsp) Oregano: 5 g (1 tsp) Mustard Powder: 15 g (1 tbsp) Paprika: 15 g (1 tbsp) Olive Oil: 120 ml (1/2 cup) Recipe: 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). 2. Place the flank steak between two sheets of plastic wrap. 3. Use a meat mallet or the back of a heavy skillet to gently pound and flatten the steak to an even thickness. 4. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and all the spices. Mix well. 5. Place the flattened flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. 6. Cut the yellow onion and potato into half-moon slices. 7. On a large baking tray, arrange the onion and potato slices to create a bed for the flank steak. 8. Skewer the marinated flank steak onto wooden skewers, alternating with slices of red onion and pineapple chunks. Place the assembled skewers on top of the bed of onions and potatoes. 9. Wrap the tray with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness. 10. In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and pineapple chunks. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together, about 10-15 minutes. Set aside. 11. During the last 15 minutes of cooking, brush the skewers with the homemade BBQ sauce, ensuring they are well coated. 12. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes. 13. Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the flank steak against the grain. 14. To assemble the sandwiches, warm up buns. 15. Fill the warmed bun with the sliced flank steak, sliced tomatoes, avocado slices, chopped cilantro, and any other desired toppings. 16.
