Installing a New Hood Prop on my 1931 Ford Model A Pickup

The black powder-coated hood prop for my 1931 Ford Model A Pickup I ordered online from Ecklers was delivered as expected with no damage. It is a very nice-looking finish and matches the colors of my Model A. There were no installation instructions included in the box, but it was easy to figure out how to attach the arms and mount the bar on the engine hood support rods, especially since I was replacing an existing hood prop. Included where a pair of short and long support arms and the mounting hardware. The short arms were the exact same length as those already installed. My objective being to open both the left and right hoods at the same time for car shows, I installed the two longer arms. Unfortunately, both hoods still cannot be opened at the same time. I will post a video on my YouTube channel soon showing the problem. Meanwhile, I will keep both the new and original hood props installed as a conversation piece when folks are looking at my Model A engine at shows.
