They say "do it for the shot," but they never mentioned that "it" would involve a windchill of -10° and losing all feeling in my extremities. In today’s video, I’m staying (relatively) local in Waynesville, Missouri, to capture the Ozarks in their icy glory. It was a crisp 9° outside—perfect weather if you’re a polar bear or a very lost penguin. I spent the morning dodging frostbite, sliding across patches of ice like a newborn giraffe, and wondering if my camera battery or my spirit would give out first.
