White disk has a revolution joint with the brown double arm. The latter is fixed to the blue stationary hemisphere. Orange gear is fixed to the brown double arm. Green hemisphere has a revolution joint with the white disk. Yellow gear is fixed to the green hemisphere. Orange and yellow motors are fixed to the white disk. The rotation of the white disk relative to the brown double arm is controlled by the orange motor. The rotation of the green hemisphere relative to the white disk is controlled by the yellow motor. Thus the green hemisphere has 2 degrees of freedom. Disadvantages of this mechanism: the motors are not grounded.
