As I Build, Who Is Building Me? | Nehemiah & the Power of God’s Word We spend a lot of time building—our lives, families, careers, faith routines, even church programs. But there’s a deeper question we don’t often stop to ask: As I build, who is actually shaping me? In Nehemiah, the walls of Jerusalem are rebuilt in record time. The city is secure again. The work is impressive. Yet the real turning point doesn’t happen at the wall—it happens when God’s Word is opened and heard. In this sermon, we explore how true renewal doesn’t come from activity or success, but from being formed by Scripture. Drawing from Nehemiah 8, 1 Timothy 4:6, and 2 Timothy 3:16, we’re reminded that God’s people are restored when God’s Word is restored to the centre.
