A morning with discipline, trust, and purpose. In Kolkata, I spent a few hours documenting the work of Siddharth Rungta, aka The Dogfather — founder of The Pet society, a professional dog trainer whose approach goes far beyond commands or tricks. His work is built on clarity, consistency, and respect. Not dominance. Not shortcuts. But clear communication, reliability, control, and confidence — the foundations that allow a dog to experience real freedom under control. This session focused on moments from his everyday training practice, working primarily with Dexter, his main working dog — a highly focused and exceptionally well-trained German Shepherd. From precise obedience to controlled protection work, Dexter’s intelligence, power, and responsiveness reflected the depth of his training and the bond between dog and handler.
