Join me as I visit one of Palestine's known to be dangerous refugee camps for the day. When I first arrived in the West Bank, I often heard many people say that Balata camp was among one of the most dangerous camps in the West Bank. Some mornings we would often get word about a shootout that happened between IDF soldiers and Palestinian resistance groups or sometimes between locals in Balata. I had some locals and foreigners tell me, it's important to visit Balata and some people tell me it's not worth the risk. Sadia and I, and some of our friends decided to go anyways with the help of a friend who had family living in Balata and could show up around. Balata isn't the place you would want to go by yourself without someone local.
