Our current project is to build an Electric Porsche 911 using the inverter, motor and battery pack from a Nissan Leaf. The subject of our Electric Conversion is a 1998 Porsche 996 Carrera S. I hope you enjoy following our progress through the project. Today we've turned our focus to the front of the car. With our Electric Porsche 996 up on the QuickJack it's as good a time as any to tackle a job that I have been putting off for a while...removing the fuel tank! The last remaining major component of our Electric Porsche's petrol powered legacy has to come out. This requires us to drop the front subframe and remove a bunch of other components I need to get rid of anyway. Join us as we take you through the process.
