Manual threshers were also an important tool for agricultural communities, people also gathered at the thresher to process grain together and stockpile animal feed. This activity not only provided food for farm animals but also strengthened the community spirit and created an opportunity to meet and share information. Over time, grain processing technology has evolved and manual mills have been replaced by more modern and efficient ones, but there are still a number of companies that manufacture cast iron mills today. However, the history of manual threshers reminds us of the importance of grain processing in the past. And how people relied on their physical strength and traditional technologies to get food.
