However Zoma shows up threatening the world so we got to head into the Dark World to stop him. We enter the Pit of Giaga and it leads us into the Dark World... the Dark World of Alefgard. Upon arriving, we get a ship and a map and then head for Tantegel. Meeting the King has us an objective. To seek out a trio of special items in order to reach Zoma's Castle. They consist of the Sunstone, the Faerie Flute & the Staff of Rain. You need the Sunstone & Staff of Rain in order to form the Rainbow Drop. The Faerie Flute is needed to free the goddess Rubiss. But we're doing all of that much later. We're taking the opportunity to explore Alefgard and there's much to see and much ot obtain. Fortunately for us, this is also a good excuse for us to visit various towns and areas. So I consider it a needed plus honestly. Oh and we get the first of three items: the Sunstone.
