CSX L416 (CSXT 5369) 'South Yard' Switching and Interlocking in Monon, Indiana

In a rare instance of having two trains or things at the interlocking in Monon, Indiana at once, this video shows a situation where this happened. CSXT 5409 (ES40DC) can be seen tied down on the CSX 'Monticello Industrial Spur' by the CSX office and diamond. This is CSX L416's usual power, which the crew will get to later. CSX L416-24 (CSX Monon Subdivision north-end local train) had the special task on this day of going down to Lafayette, Indiana to grab five large transformers with CSXT 5369 (ES40DC) already attached to them. CSX L416 handled all of this equipment first. CSX L416 came north to Monon and that's where this video takes off. The train picks up two covered hoppers of plastic at the north end of the 'South Yard' in Monon for Fratco in Francesville, Indiana. These hoppers and transformers are then connected and taken north onto the CSX Medaryville branch line, which is the other track at the diamond. The transformers are heading just north of Francesville to the 'A J Wendt & Son' Trucking Company, for unloaded onto trucks. After the CSX L416 crew does all the work on the branch line, it will be vanned back down here to Monon to get on CSXT 5409 to do the train's traditional work.
