🇨🇳Changsha Wenheyou (Hisense Plaza): Montage Through a Reimagined 80s Changsha

文和友 (Wenheyou) was founded by WEN Bin and his friends YANG Qianjun and WENG Donghua in Changsha, Hunan, China around 2011. The Chinese brand name literally means "文 (WEN) 和 (and) his 友 (friends)". They originally sold famous street food of Hunan. After the brand gained its fame and became very successful, they started to focus on building it as a cultural brand and promoting traditional culture of Changsha while still keeping its street food business. Finally, in 2018, after attracted enough investment fund from Tang Ren Shen Group, this Wenheyou super mall was open at Hisense Plaza in Changsha. The mall was built closely with the support from August First Film Studio and Xiao Xiang Pictures, in the effort of re-producing the daily scenes and daily lives of the people living in Changsha in the 80s.
