Playthrough of Mental Omega 3.3.6 Allied mission #23 - Withershins on Mental Difficulty. We're in the endgame now. The final approaches. We're right at Yuri's doorstep - a massive fortress and what forces are in it are prepearing to stop our armies at all costs. Together with Southern Cross and Boomerang divisions you will establish bases of operation and cover the area for Paradox Engine arrival. After that - it is time to topple Yuri's monument of madness - Mental Omega Device. You will take control of three groups spearheading the operation and wipe out enemy forces from designated spots. Once your outposts are constructed, Boomerand and Southern Cross will retake command of their troops, while you will be provided with primary base - Your objective now is to wipe out as many Dybbuk Hives as you can before Paradox Engine arrival. First two nests that you can elliminate safely are the ones to East of your base. Use Abrams Tanks together with Athenas and Prisms to shut down defenses quickly and wipe out primary targeting devices. Third hive can be destroyed by Tanya in IFV once Chronosphere is obtained. In the meanwhile however you will need to prepare a defense force to combat all incoming troops and Irkallas. Utilize Hyperions, Grand Cannons, Ultra Domes and Blizzard/Abrams mix to protect your area from enemy forces. As first building to make i recommend Weather Control Device - it will be invaluable source of free damage and objective clear. To protect it use Archons with Seals near it - there will be designated groups sent to shut it down. Weather Control Device, together with Zephyrobot, Lionheart Strike, Mercury Strike and Target Painter will be invaluable when dealing with all enemy superweapons and key buildings. As first target to use WCd i recommend Aerodomes in the SE corner of the map - destroying those will reduce the number of AA teams sent after you. Next targets should be Dominators - WCD with Target painter should be able to destroy the Domintor in single strike. Lionheart and Zephyrobot should deal 1/3rd of damage each to other superweapons. Use them aswell. 3 Nuke SIlos in the Airbase can be easily destroyed by sending Tanya with IFV inside - Blow them up and they will be gone forever. Finally, last 2 Nukes will always fire at your Conyard and i recommend to keep Force Shield for that moment - the replacement MCV will only appear once, so be careful with it! Once all aggressive superweapons are gone, focus on Mental Dynamos. Cover your base until Chorno AI Reinforcements arrive - in that moment you will know that your forces can commence the attack. You would need to send support to both armies using the Support Powers - for cost of 5k you can provide your ally with small attack force. When you have cash, send them in - esspecially if you are pushing either of sides. Use them as cover for your own forces. My unit composition was made of Prisms, Blizzards, Abrams, Paladins and Hailstorms - last ones are invaluable when dealing with long range defenses and enemies on higher elevation. Continue your push and destroy every Dynamo that you can if its within your reach - once some of them are done, nearby Ganzirs will lose their shields - Use Lionhearts to strike them down for EMP effect while your main force finishes them off. Do a full circle and dont be afraid to push from both sides - you should have enough funds to do so. Once final Hive and Dynamo is elliminated, objective will be completed. Easter egg in this mission requires you to capture a set of Radar Towers. First the one to the right of your base - capture it but do not take the crate. After that, capture the Towers South of your base, To the West and East of Aerodome/Triple Nuke base and finally in Dybbuk Hive area below Euro Alliance base. After that you will receive secondary Chronoshift.
