Most Space Marines seem to follow a very religious theme which of course is ironic considering what I know of the lore of the Emperor. Among the chapters though there are a few who seem even more pious than others in my eyes and one of those would be the Black Templars. Fitting then that the lower ranks of these Black Templars include Neophytes who kind of look like they belong serving as an alter boy or singing in the choir… provided they’re serving pain or singing the praises of the Empoeror I guess. I’ve never been a fan of the non helmet heads and for whatever reason these guys have hair which for the most part comes off as just… well bad. I’d much prefer a bunch of bald heads to the bowl cut look but I think I’m just being picky. That said, it took me forever to paint this guy because I would only sit down for an hour one week then another 4 weeks would go by before I’d have a chance to paint again. Realistically I got the first 7 minutes of the episode filmed in a few days then didn’t get back to it for another 3 or 4 months and then slammed out the rest over a couple of days. The common theme spanning that time frame though was bad audio, model being out of focus or off screen and me making sense sometimes and going off the deep end others, AKA a normal video for me. Hopefully you enjoy it and here’s hoping I can avoid thes 4 month breaks in the future or the year long hiatuses in general. While I’m not as skilled as others out there, I recognize that and am always looking to improve. Part of the fun is looking back on models I painted early on and comparing them to something more recent. Assembling and painting is how I spend my free time and I'm now looking at sharing what I do with others who might enjoy the madness in my methods. My style includes a lot of run on sentences, losses in train of thought and tangents which can lead to minutes of wasted time but may provide some entertainment or background noise if nothing else. Overall, if you're having fun with the hobby then the finished product, good or bad, was worth the time invested.
