Age of Sigmar was the first box set I purchased basically the day it came out so many years ago. Prior to that I had only dabbled in things like Space Marines, Dark Eldar and Tyranids as the fantasy stuff didn’t really strike me as interesting. Truth be told I was building an 8 foot tall Space Marine costume which was the original reason I bought the set I did but after painting a little bit I found I enjoyed that much more than trying to moonlight as a professional prop builder. Fast forward a few years and we’re now on the third version of AoS with the release of Dominion. I enjoyed painting the Bloodbound and Nighthaunt in the first two versions and will likely enjoy my time painting another new army in the Kruleboyz starting with one of the Hobgrot Slittaz. I tried making it a little more of a “green skin” than the box art and think I did a decent job making a pale green flesh tone. I’m not done with all 20 of them at the time of filming but for some reason I’m enjoying these guys a lot more than the Necron Warrior unit of 20 and will probably finish it out first. I blame having to edge highlight with Eshin Grey over black for my stalled progress. Back to Age of Sigmar though, this is the first in probably a few videos coming out related to the Dominion box set and I imagine I’ll pick up some of the units that are being sold separately.
