One day I'm scrolling my Bsky feed, and I just randomly came across someone posting about liking Final Fantasy X-2, to which I thought "hell yeah, great game". And then two seconds later I also thought, "Wait... what if 'Real Emotion', but Teto", and before I knew it I had Reaper open and I was off to the races. A few hours later, and I had my initial draft done. This was back in like.... July? So here I am finally getting around to releasing it 6 months later lol. On the plus side, I was able to work Teto's new SV2 voicebank into it and she sounds fantastic! SV1 sounded great, too, but there's just little added flairs that SV2 brought, in addition to increased clarity, that I'm really happy I waited so long now. You'll also notice this one's pretty light on guitar work. Tbh I debated if I wanted to record any at all for it or if I should leave this one purely electronic. In the end I settled for limited guitars only where I felt they were absolutely necessary or I liked how they sounded in a particular section. There's parts of this song that were meant for guitar that I absolutely left as a synth just because the synth sounded so cool (like the solo). So anyway, hope you enjoy Teto's little pop star detour! I'll be back later this month with something a little more guitar-focused, and as an added bonus, it'll be an ORIGINAL SONG!
