I Am a Salesforce Developer, But I Do It For Reasons Beyond the Technology

I do fulltime Salesforce application development for a living. That makes me a Salesforce Developer. I've been a software engineer for quite a few years, but I've been a Salesforce developer for a small portion of my career. I really love the work, but the reason has less to do with technology and a lot more to do with the people in the community. The Salesforce community often makes references to the "Salesforce Ohana" suggesting that the community is a family. It's a concept that's often criticized due to typical technology corporate behavior by Salesforce. For me, what's most important is not the authenticity of the "Ohana" concept, but mostly the folks that are simply drawn to it. I've met a lot of really great people in this world and it's what motivates me to stick with it. I'm traveling this week to Minnesota to meet with my client and I'm really eager to get there. I work with really incredible, talented and dedicated people.
