Looking for the softest table tennis rubber - Review #02 | Testing Andro Impuls Speed & Plaxon 350

Welcome to Part 2 of my search for the perfect racket. Please respect the fact that this is a really subjective, neutral and pragmatic review in relation to my old material which I played for 25 years! The priority is to get an impression how the material behaves in gameplay. After testing out Andro Impuls Speed & Powersponge on my old blade Butterfly Primorac Carbon Off+ in the first video:    • Looking for the softest table tennis rubbe...   I've tested out Andro Powersponge (2.0mm) on the fore- and backhand on an Andro Treiber FO OFF/S but decided not to get on with it because its total weight 173g feels heavier than my current Butterfly Primorac Carbon Off+ & Joola Samba Plus combination (total weight 173g) and its sound/catapult is not strong enough for my technique. So I'm starting this video with my favourite combination of Andro Impuls Speed [37g] on the backhand and Andro Plaxon 350 [42g] on the forehand with the Andro Treiber FO OFF/S [86g]. Its total weight of 165g is really comfortable and the Andro Impuls Speed feels great. I've got a good touch at counter-attack, blocking and backhand pressure play but I don't get a perfect arc at spinning and openings after my return. In total I would say I'm really pleasantly surprised how good it performs and in the next step I would try out both of these rubbers on a bit harder wood. Andro will drop a brand new line of woods next year and there should be a fitting one for me. I can't wait to test them out to hopefully find the perfect combination of rubbers and blade. But I would definitely recommend to try this blade for a test round because it's so amazingly fast and interesting to play. Until now I never was so optimistic to find a real alternative to my 25 years old combination of the Primorac Carbon and Samba (Plus)! So please stay tuned for the next part of my review in 2022!
