A bit earlier than usual, and the morning light with the misty rain in the air was really something! It was 13°, which I think was the warmest it's been so far this year. Early in the video I witnessed a single-scooter collision. I don't know what exactly happened, but it looks like he tried to go back into the bike lane after passing me and ran right into a concrete curb like he didn't know it was there. He seemed to be physically fine, so that's good. Had to detour from my usual route down St. George due to construction and took Queen's Park Circle from Bloor. A truck hauling port-a-potties nearly cut me off. Thankfully, they signalled early, so I stayed out of the blind spot, but they should have let me go by before turning. I thought they were going to, which is why you might hear my wheels skid when I realized they weren't going to wait. Lots of cyclists through the Annex, even at this early an hour, and a bunch on University and Adelaide as well. Toronto is a cycling city, more and more. We're approaching a critical mass, at least downtown, and we can't lose momentum around the edges. These bike lanes and bike share stations are working and they need to be saved.
