EFF Member of Parliament, Commissar @mazwiblose2 , speaks to Radio 702 about the Speaker of Parliament, Thoko Didiza’s refusal to subpoena Brown Mogotsi and self-proclaimed private investigator Paul O’Sullivan to appear physically before the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations made by General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. We maintain that the Speaker is shielding Paul O’Sullivan, with Mogotsi merely benefiting from his protection. The Committee requested in October that the Speaker subpoena O’Sullivan and Mogotsi, yet only now is she responding, citing security concerns raised by them, claims for which there is no credible evidence. A letter alone is insufficient, tangible proof is required. The Speaker based her decision solely on Sullivan’s word, yet it should have been her responsibility, not the Ad Hoc Committee’s, to assess any legitimate security risks.
