Keeps your factory foam dry in rain and when washing your bike and preserves the foam and extends its life. In this video the factory foam had some damage already on the sides as you can see from the staples and moving around on the base. Best is to glue the factory foam to the plastic base also with contact adhesive like Genkem, Alcolin or Pattex style glue. For t he staples use 4 to 6 mm staples to prevent then sticking out on top or get to deep into the factory foam.
