Since walking past Fairbrook Naze on a recent camp, I've been wanting to pitch there. So with that in mind, off I went. Joining me as expedition leader on this trip was Dave Goodman. / @davegoodman1959 Dave led me up Crowden Clough, then onto Kinder Gate, where we turned right and headed for Fairbrook Naze. I was amazed at how close to Fairbrook Naze we were, once we set eyes upon it. After we arrived at Fairbrook Naze, we ditched our bags behind a rock, and Dave took me on a short (it wasn't lol) journey down to a spring to collect some water. We then returned to our intended camp site and collected our bags. Once we were pitched, Andy Beavers / andrewbeavers turned up and we had a chat with him. Unfortunately, we'd already pitched up, otherwise we would have camped with Andy at a spot that he'd suggested. In the morning, we were joined by Andy and we started the day off with a chat. Because I needed to get back to the car before the ticket expired, I wanted to take the 7 minute crossing, which is the shortest way from north to south up on Kinder. Andy kindly offered to lead us along this route. I was joking before we started about 7 minutes being optimistic, and although we weren't close to 7 minutes, it didn't take that long to cross. Once we were on the southern edge, we headed down into Edale. At Edale we had a filling breakfast at the local café, which rounded off the trip nicely.
