(Video filmed with Panasonic HDC-HS100 & Rode microphone) I replaced the stock ESC in the Magneto/LecDec/Luoov/Backfire/Melon board with a VESC (from Benjamin Vedder). This upgrade results in a MUCH better electric skateboarding experience. Reliability, acceleration, braking, all are improved, and it can now do standing starts. The upgrade is fairly easy to perform, the only slightly difficult part is using BLDC to configure the VESC. There are a lot of configuration options, however it doesn't take long to establish a basic set of options. Note: BLDC's VESC options are numerous and I am by no means an expert. I'm still learning. So please, no questions about VESC settings. BLDC application: http://vesc.net.au/ BLDC tutorial video: http://www.hellray.de/tutorials-d-e-f... I bought my VESC from: http://www.hellray.de/vesc/ Enertion Boards are also reputable sellers of VESCs: http://www.enertionboards.com/electri... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video has resulted in several questions about how to re-pair the stock hand controller with the ESC... You can resynch by doing the following: 1. Ensure board and controller are powered off. 2. Press and hold button A for 3 seconds until the left indicator turns green. 3. Press throttle C once so the left indicator blinks. 4. Press button B 10 times so that all indicator lights switch off. 5. Turn on the board and watch hand controller indicators blink. 6. Press throttle C once. 7. Press button A once and see if the pairing is successful. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music: Thingamajig by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...)
