Today was the perfect day to go down to Brighton. Earlier in the week it was overcast and cooler and rather rainy as well so I waited until Friday when the weather for that day was perfect because it was clear skies, sunny and warm with Highs of 27c. It was a busy day because it was the big Summer Getaway. All the schools have broken up for the Summer Holidays and a lot of people with their children were catching trains from London Victoria to London Gatwick to catch their flights to spend their Summer Holidays abroad. The train I was on was getting busy with many families going to London Gatwick Airport to catch their flights. The rear 4 coaches of the train were filled up but I sat in the front carriage where it's not too busy. There were Minor Delays earlier on before the journey because of a Points Failure on the Line at Haywards Heath and Keymer Junction just South of Wivesfield Station but we did slow down a couple of times throughout the journey. By the time we got to Gatwick Airport, the Platforms at Gatwick Airport Station were very busy and crowded because the majority of those people were flying into Gatwick to catch a train up to London and another of those people boarded the train I was on heading back to Haywards Heath and Brighton. I went for a good old swim at Brighton Beach that day and it was worth it all the way.
