Welcome back to #Questions 12 this episode’s question is from Charlie Foy who has asked: Why would you need 2 USB slots? I have been asked to take 2 USB’s to a Club? Well Charlie, there could be a couple reasons why the club will want you to take 2 USB’s 1) They want the security in knowing you have a backup so if one fails it’s not the end of the night, lets face it they need the music to go on so they make money on the night and you need to not be the DJ who did not have a backup. 2) They could have two early CDJ’s that don’t have Link Connect so you need to put a music source into both. If this is the case you will also have to remember everything you have already played as a repeat could be embarrassing. Personally when I do club nights I will have three USB thumb drives with me plus in my bag a laptop, the laptop won’t come out of the bag unless things go south really bad! Considering what USB Thumb dives to buy is something you should consider carefully, you want fast data transfer and a great build quality. I use Hyper X Savage and I buy them from Amazon, I used to buy the 64GB but the last couple have been 128gb versions as the price had dropped. The Hyper X Savage has a transfer rate of 350MB/s and is compliant with Gen 3.1 USB ports.
