'The Wiz' DUCATI MHR 900 Race 3 Sept 2024 OZBEARS Phillip Island

Ducati MHR 900 1982. 'The Wiz' This race is dedicated to Mr Kawada of Whizzspeed motorcycle shop in Nagoya , Japan. A good friend of mine and a genius constructor, Mr Kawada built this MHR racebike and raced it in the Japanese BOTT series at Suzuka Curcuit. After a medical incident he was unable to resume racing it and after a time, sold it to me. I have rebuilt the engine after a big end failure and modified it further and this race was our target. He always said to me he wished his bike could be raced at Phillip Island. It performed fantastically over the weekend , sadly you can see some clutch slip happening in this race. Once adjusted the bike was back on form but we were overgeared and couldnt quite get the performance out of it that we wanted..
