This was taken the same day as the Hickory Valley Road clips. Even after checking out of our hotel, I still got a chance to go to the TVRM in Chattanooga before leaving. I had a great time there, saw some good trains and even got to see Jacob from ROHV (as you know he's Southern 2-8-2 #4501) doing some round trip excursions! Here are the trains in order: Train #1: SOU 4501 leads an excursion into the station. Then it turns around on the wye and pulls right into the station. Afterwards we get a quick look at SOU GP38-2 #5000. Apparently TVRM acquired this engine from NS and repainted it back to SOU colors, similar to #3170, only difference is that NS already had it back in SOU colors before giving it to TVRM. Soon, SOU 4501 departs the station. 1. SOU M Class #4501 Trains #2 and 3: Wow, a freight train race! I wanted to see some NS here especially since you can get a good going by shot, and to start with, we got 2! The first train to glide by is an eastbound NS mixed freight, later followed by a grain train (which was mostly blocked) going in the same direction. If Gordon from TTTE was in this race, he'd definitely win. NS mixed freight 1. C44-9W #8948 2. C44-9W #8991 3. SD70ACe #1127 NS grain train 1. C44-9W #9534 2. SD70M-2 #2707 3. GEVO #???? Train #4: SOU 4501's excursion once again returns to Grand Junction Station. Then it yet again takes the wye to pull into the station. 1. SOU M Class #4501 Train #5: As the excursion train is idling, a grain train passes the museum with a fairly big lashup. One of the engines included is one of only a few ex-NYSW SD70Ms. 1. NS C44-9W #9489 2. NS C44-9W #9018 3. NS SD70M #2798 4. NS C44-9W #9594 5. NS SD60E #7031 Train #6: Once everything is ready, Southern 4501 yet again departs for another trip. I think Mario, Luigi, Lily, Marie, Lilim, Ryusei, Teduka, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Wario, Waluigi, Momoka, Kara, and everyone else caught this train when it arrived at the other end of the line. 1. SOU M Class #4501 Train #7: A rather overpowered NS freight train passes by the museum with an SD70M-2 leader. I call it overpowered because it has 6 engines and not as many cars as I expected. It could be possible that since it's going away from Debutts Yard, they dropped off some cars there before continuing on. 1. SD70M-2 #2659 2. C44-9W #9359 3. C44-9W #9964 4. C44-9W #8956 5. RP-E4D #929 6. GP40-2 #3078 Train #8: SOU 4501 once again returns to the museum and moves into position next to the platform. 1. SOU M Class #4501 Trains #9 and 10: Another NS meet. And these are my last trains from my Chattanooga trip. To start off, an NS intermodal train heads east with 3 C44-9Ws, one of which I caught before at Horseshoe Curve. A few minutes later, a mixed freight heads west with an SD70M-2 leader. I found interesting how of all NS leaders at this location, it was an SD70M-2 if it wasn't a Dash 9. But of course, all NS power at this location was Catfish (in comparison to the other 2 locations I visited on this trip where I caught at least 1 foreign power engine). NS intermodal 1. C44-9W #9919 2. C44-9W #9039 3. C44-9W #9367 NS mixed freight 1. SD70M-2 #2675 2. C44-9W #9502 To conclude the video, I showed a few still pictures I took while at the museum. I also took a lot of photos while I was here in 2014, I know I still have them saved somewhere.
