Restoration Project #55 - TI 709 Data Terminal And back to some communications equipment again! The project has been some time in the making, as I ran into several issues on the way. The Silent 700 series is rather well known in retro computing circles, so I think I don't have to elaborate on it here; just to point out that the 709 model I have is the international version of the 707 model. It comes with a built in modem and accoustic coupler. The latter was my primary reason to get this one, since my collection was lacking anything acoustic coupler-y so far. There should also be an external "box" available as an alternative to te AC which would connect to a phone line directly.
