My FIRST Flight in the US!

About 5 years ago, I used to visit my family in the US annually. As a young boy, I dreamt of flying a plane myself from the local airport close to where my family in the US lives: Mansfield (K1B9). Now that I have grown up and I have become a pilot, I decided to make this dream a reality while spending two weeks with my family again in the Mansfield area this summer. This is the first time we were able to visit my family in the Mansfield area again after 5 years. Unfortunately, I was not able to rent an aircraft directly at Mansfield airport. Instead, I had to go to another nearby airport to rent a plane: Norwood. Since I would be flying in the US for the first time, I decided to go with something familiar: the DA40, on which I have done my flight training. An instructor also had to come along. Initially, the plan was to do a checkout. However, since I wanted bring family members along as passengers and since I was planning to rent the aircraft again any time soon after, it was decided to do something else instead. We would fly to Boston, so a so called 'city tour' above Boston for which we needed permission to enter the Boston Logan airport Bravo airspace. Afterwards, we would fly to Mansfield, change passengers and fly back to Norwood. While at Mansfield, I could not help myself but to also do a touch and go. Having no landing fees in the US (unless otherwise stated), is just to good to be true when compared to the heavy landing fees in Europe. Thank you tax payers, I appreciate you!
