Bruce Harrell has announced that he is conceding the mayoral race to newcomer Katie Wilson. Harrell, who served as mayor for 4 years, made the announcement during a press conference at noon on Thursday. "I called Mayor-elect Katie Wilson to congratulate her on a hard-fought victory. I let her know that our team is standing by to begin the transition process," Harrell said. "I let her know that our team is standing by to make noise in the background. I let her know that our team is standing by to begin the transition work without hesitation, and that I look forward to welcoming her to City Hall in the near future. And I wish her well. And it was a very delightful conversation.
