I’m a Vegan Rookie…🤣 I’ve only been Vegan for 9 days, and started craving Beef Ribs like yesterday…🤣 I LOVE RIBS so much, that I decided to prepare two recipes comparing two different main ingredients, MUSHROOM and JACKFRUIT! I found many recipes for Vegan Ribs, but decided to recreate my own. See Recipes Below… RIBS with JACKFRUIT 2 Cans of Jackfruit 1 package of Impossible Burger 1/8 cup of diced onion 1/8 cup of dark brown sugar 1 tablespoon of Vegan Beef Powder 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper 2 teaspoons of onion powder 2 teaspoons of garlic powder 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika 2 teaspoons of liquid smoke Lemon Grass for bone (optional) 1 cup of BBQ sauce Preheat oven to 375. Drain and Rinse Jackfruit. Shred the jackfruit inside of a medium bowl (I removed seeds). Add Impossible meat and ALL ingredients. Mix Jackfuit, impossible meat, and all ingredients WELL. Line a pan with parchment paper of foil with a non stick spray. Shape meat into a rib shape on the pan. If using lemon grass for bone… Shape half the meat into a rib shape on the pan. Space out the lemon grass on top of the meat. Place the second half of meat on top of the lemon grass. Mold and press to create the look of a slab of ribs. Bake for 1 hr. Add BBQ and bake for 10 more minutes. Broil for 1 minute to glaze the bbq sauce (optional). Take ribs out of the oven and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!
