A Walk with The Relic: The Thurber House in Columbus OH.

On this Walk, I check out The Thurber House, on Jefferson Ave, in Columbus OH. This is the house noted author James Thurber lived in with his family from 1913-1917. Thurber is the author of books and stories like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which involved a mild-mannered day dreamer who dreamed of doing heroic things. He's also well-known for his sparse doodles which he often drew on napkins or anything he could grab whenever the mood struck him. On one side of the house, you'll see sculptures of the dogs he frequently drew, in the style of his art. I believe you can go inside the house when it is open, though it didn't appear open when I went (I was shooting another video when I discovered where The Thurber House was). But if you find yourself in the area of 77 Jefferson Ave, close to E Spring St coming out of downtown Columbus, then stop by awhile!
