She’s incorporated the latter fact into something of an admirable artistic crusade. “Spreading mental health awareness through music - no filters, no facetune, no makeup, 100% real content,” reads her Insta bio. Long before she was ROSIE, she uncovered through songwriting her own mental health issues. “Writing always helped me,” she explained ahead of the release of her new EP ‘5 Songs for Healing.’ It’s an apt title - both for ROSIE’s overall ethos and the project’s content. These studio performances are a lesson in self-care. “I Should Just Go To Bed” paints an all-too-familiar portrait of late nights staring at the phone (put it down!).
